2. One project where I felt I was the least successful was the perspective drawing. Which was are very first project in art two. I feel that I was least sucessful on this project because my perspective project was a dock with water and a sunset. I choose the largest piece of paper. I put the dock right in the middle of the paper. I also did not like how the sunset reflected on the water looked. I also used regular colored pencils which was a huge mistake. I should have used prisma colored pencils instead of regular colored pencil. I also messed up when I did not let the colored pencil get darker the further away it got. If I had the chance to redo this project I would change all these things. That is why I feel that this was my least sucessful project.
5. My favorite medium to work with was paint. I used paint in my mixed media collage but I only used a little bit of redish/orangish paint. I also used a paint on my clay project. The biggest paint project I did was my guitar painting that was painted to look like one of Andy Warhols paintings. I painted the close up of the guitar on a canvas. I used the three primary colors which are red,blue and yellow. I painted the background and the strings red. I painted the main part of the guitar blue and some of the little minor details blue. I painted the center hole of the guitar yellow. Paint was my favorite medium because it was such an easy medium to use and although you had to wait for the paint to dry the outcome of the artwork is worth it.
3. After looking over my body of work over the semester two pieces that show my growth as an artist were the mini lesson we did in the dum dum with colored pencil and the up close abstract drawing which was a football. The dum- dum picture was the first picture I drew with prisma colors. I really liked working with the prisma colors because it was so fine and wasn't as messy as the oil or chalk pastels. For this drawing I drew it with my pencil first then added all the details with the prisma colors. For this assignment we had to make the dum dum look as realalistic as possible. The subject matter was a better subject than the other two candies were drew. For the abstract up close drawing I drew an up close drawing of a football. The medium I used was prisma colored pencil. For this project I did a basic outline of the shape and where I wanted everything, then I added all the details like all the circles I drew to add texture. I also added some crosshtching for the stitching of he grip that's on the football. Then I had to add all different shades of brown black and red to get the color just right. This piece of artwork turned out realy great.
4. Two mini lessons that i felt were the most beneficial in my learning for that partparticular project was the mini lessons on the perspective for example two point perspective I drew a building. These mini lesson were very welly taught and explained. The way mrs.rossi taught us was she actually came around looking at everyones drawings to make sure we were doing it right and it looked good. Another thing mrs.rossi did was if she saw we were having trouble she would show us how to do it correctly or how to do or make the work better. For the building perspective project we sat outside and looked at the school buildings while we drew them. The perspective lessons were taught very well. that is why i feel like i succeeded so much on that particular project.
